ebooks

I have been toying with the idea of writing a textbook or lab book for my science classes for a couple years. I very seldomly reference the textbook during class and they are usually only used for vocabulary. My major drawback is that I utilize so much current technology and video/simulation in class that can not be represented in a textbook. Also, if I were to write something I would want in in a format that could be transfered to an ebook reader or sections printed (gasp use of trees) if that was needed at a school.

Currently the most utilizable setup to use to put the content online would be a wiki. I have also recently discovered flexbooks (thanks to my sources in twitter) but currently they can not integrate anything but text, images and wikipedia articles into the content.
